Fire Department Tour

Residents, schools and civic groups are encouraged to contact the fire department to schedule a tour. Fire department tours provide the firefighters the opportunity to educate the public about the fire service.

Simply stated, the most effective manner in which to fight fires is to prevent them from starting. Effective fire prevention and public education programs are the best way to minimize the hazards of fire in the community.

Visitors to the station have the opportunity to learn about the day to day duties that firefighters are tasked with when they are not fighting fires. The fire engines are always a big hit with the children. Time permitting, larger groups are given a tour of the station and the fire engines, along with an age-appropriate fire prevention/safety video, and a tour through the fire safety house.

For available dates or to schedule a tour of the fire department, please call 774-0622 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
