Public Notice - Household Rubbish Drop-off

The City Household Rubbish Drop-off will take place from May 16 – May 18, 2019 in front of the DPW Building, located at 125 N. Stephenson Ave.  The hours for the drop-off will be 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday; Friday and Saturday’s hours will be 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Please note that the drop-off is provided for residents who pay a garbage fee, so please have a copy of your utility bill and driver’s license available at the time of drop-off.  Residents that reside in rental units are asked to file a form through their landlord with the Department of Public Works.  The following items are prohibited for the purposes of the Household Rubbish Drop-off: Liquid or Hazardous Waste, Freon containing appliances, Batteries, Oil, Paint, Anti-freeze, Compressed gas tanks and Regular garbage.    If you have questions you can contact the Department of Public Works at (906) 774-0722.
