Services/Responsibilities

The Water Utility Billing Department is responsible for, in charge of, and offers the following services:

 

Ø     Entering Meter Readings for all Sections of the City

Ø     Print/Mail Water Bills and Related Reports for All Sections

Ø     Assess Penalties on Delinquent Accounts

Ø     Print/Mail Reminder and Termination Notices

Ø     Answer all Questions on Water Billing / Customer Accounts

Ø     Enter all Water Bill Payments

Ø     Set up Appointments and Maintain Records for Customer Service

Ø     Set up New Accounts

Ø     Prepare Final Bills

Ø     Run Account Balance Reports

Ø     Prepare Shut-Off cards for Delinquent Accounts

Ø     Handle NSF Checks

Ø     Send out Readiness to Serve/Sprinkler Invoices

Ø     Mail/Set-up WLR Letters and Accounts

Ø     Set up Consumer Deposit Accounts from Renters

Ø     Balance Consumer Deposits

Ø     Refund Consumer Deposits

Ø     Balance and Check Out Cash Drawer/ Prepare Deposit

Ø     Create Read Only (Move-in/Move-out), Shut Off and Turn On, and Service Work Orders for Customers
