Cemetery
Cemetery Park was opened on June 9, 1901.
The oldest area of the cemetery is just inside the entrance, with the addition of Moghkoma being the oldest. The cemetery is divided into additions. Each addition is divided into lots and each lot is divided into graves. Lot size is 20 feet by 20 feet. Each lot holds eight graves.
Cemetery maps are available for viewing at the Cemetery office during regular business hours.
Most cemetery records are in print only at City Hall. Staff can assist with access to the records but do not offer extended research services. Visitors are welcome to use the books to do their own research during regular office hours. A helpful website to try before contacting City Hall is www.findagrave.com .
The Cemetery Department is responsible for ground care and maintenance of cemetery property and the interment and disinterment of deceased remains.
