Rental and Land Contracts require a deposit before water can be established for a new renter. The deposit amount for residential is $100.00 and $150.00 for businesses establishing water accounts. Deposits must be paid in person at City Hall at least one business day before the account becomes active. A photo ID is required to establish an account. Deposits will be refunded once a final read is taken and the final bill is calculated according to the normal billing cycle. Deposit refunds could take up to 60 days depending on when the final read occurred within the normal billing cycle.
Deposits are NOT transferable. Moving to a new rental location will require a separate deposit to be made for the new location.
