[ARCHIVED] NOTICE OF CIVIL SERV. EXAM - ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER

The City of Iron Mountain, Michigan is accepting applications for examination for Police Officer. It is anticipated that a position will be filled from this list.

The City of Iron Mountain, Michigan is accepting applications for examination under MI Public Act 78, Civil Service, for Police Officer until Friday, July 12, 2019, at the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer, 501 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain, MI 49801.  The purpose of this examination is to establish a list of eligible applicants for this position.  It is anticipated that a position will be filled from this list.  The applicant must be a high school graduate and be certified or eligible for immediate certification through the Michigan Commission of Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) at the time of hire.  Proof of MCOLES certification or pre-Police Academy educational background must accompany the application.  Any person requiring special accommodations must contact the City Clerk/Treasurer prior to the examination date.  Eligibility and qualifications will be evaluated by the Police and Fire Civil Service Commission as provided in Act 78 of PA 1935 as amended.  Applications are available at www.cityofironmountain.com and can be returned to 501 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain, Michigan  49801.  For additional information, call the Iron Mountain City Clerk at (906)774-8530 Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (CST).  The Examination is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Iron Mountain City Hall at 9:00 A.M. (CST).
