NOTICE OF CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION
CITY OF IRON MOUNTAIN, MICHIGAN
The City of Iron Mountain, Michigan, will accept applications for a Civil Service Examination for clerical positions until 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2020, at the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer, 501 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain, MI 49801. The testing date will be Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The purpose of this examination is to establish a list of eligible applicants in the event positions arise. The hiring of at least one full-time position is anticipated during the duration of the eligibility list. The wage rate for this position would start at $18.65/hour, with a base pay increase of $1.20 over the three-year probation period, and include full benefits. Applicant must be a high school graduate, reside within a 20- mile radius of the Iron Mountain City limits within six months from date of hire per Collective Bargaining Agreement and have clerical experience. Eligibility and qualifications will be evaluated by the City of Iron Mountain Civil Service Commission.
