Political Sign Reminder
Political signs may be placed on private property but NOT on the public right-of-way portion or boulevard (ie between sidewalk and curb) or where they interfere with clear vision. Political signs require the permission of the property owner before placement.Signs may be up to 8 square feet for residential areas and 12 square feet in commercial. Signs may be placed for election candidates or proposals once they are officially approved for an election cycle. Signs must be promptly removed after 10 days post General or Special election. Compost and Recycling Hours
Leaf and bush drop off is open Monday through Friday 7:00a to 3:00p and Saturday 8:00a to Noon. The drop of is for Iron Mountain residents only (no contractors, lawn services etc.) Bagged leaves and lumber are prohibited. If you have questions you can contact the Department of Public Works at (906)
Garbage Collection back to Alleys
Starting the week of May 14th garbage collection will return to the alleys.
2017 Tax Collection Season
Every year on March 1st any remaining unpaid taxes are settled with the County. Unpaid 2017 taxes are now payable at the Dickinson County Treasurer's office.

Just a reminder that while garage/yard sales do not require a permit they are still regulated by City Ordinance. Garage sales, rummage sales, yard sales and similar activities may be conducted for no longer than three days and no more than two times per calendar year on the same property. ( Ord. Sec. 74-4. (9))
